HOLY CRAP! The @BCFerries & @BC_Transit was nuts today due to the high winds having canceled a few sailings yesterday.
The BC Ferries staff were amazing at dealing with a crowd this big, and getting over a 1000 passengers onto the ship in so little time. The sailing had a little bit of chop just after departing from Tsawwassen, but smoothed out a lot after getting into Active Pass. Slept most of the sailing.
Photos 2 & 3 were taken on the Victoria side, and that was the lobby where people waiting to get on the ferry we had just gotten off of. The line up went all the way up around the corner, up the stairs and almost to the door just after you pay.
We waited a for the crowd to die down for the buses before we caught one, we caught the 3rd double decker bus, the first 2 were just packed. In photo 4 you can see the first one leaving, and the line up for the second bus.
In all, a great weekend.
“Shut up or Put Up”, something that my grandfather used to say to me, and it is a lesson I learned well; so I have to give credit to the Instructors at Western Academy of Photography ( @westacadphoto ) here in Victoria, BC, they are doing just that!
In a showing of their own personal work at Dales Gallery (537 Fisgard St) from February 9th through to the 23rd.
Personally, I think it is important for all instructors to show they know what they are teaching about; and I think it is great that these set of instructors are ‘Putting Up’, as my grandfather would say.
So I know for sure, that I will be going to see this showing of photos, and I hope if you will make the effort to go in as well.
Cheers
John R.
UPDATE: I know the leaflet says here that the opening night is February 10th, but it is in fact, on Thursday Feb 9th. Be there!!!
